Hi, I'm Melody

Let's get to know each other

A sequence of black and white architectural photographs showing a stone wall and walkway with dramatic shadows.

I’m Melody, a wedding photographer drawn to the moments that don’t ask to be noticed.

I’ve always loved stories that live in the quiet. Jane Austen once wrote, “If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more.” That idea shapes how I photograph weddings. The most meaningful moments are often the ones spoken without words, and those are the moments I’m always watching for.

I’m a calm presence on a wedding day, a quiet observer who steps in gently when needed and steps back when moments unfold naturally. I notice the glance before the kiss, the hand squeeze before the vows, the breath you didn’t realize anyone saw. My goal is never to interrupt what’s happening, but to preserve it honestly.

I live on the Setúbal Peninsula, south of Lisbon, with my husband, Aaron, and our dog, Harrison. Outside of photography, I read, travel whenever possible, and have strong opinions about Jane Austen film adaptations.

I am based in Portugal and know these landscapes well - the late afternoon light in the Algarve, the golden hour over the Douro Valley, the way a Sintra palace courtyard holds the last of the day.

If you’re drawn to photography that values connection over performance, elegance over excess, and emotion over perfection, I’d love to connect.

If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more.

Let’s Begin

If you’re here, something likely resonated.

I’d love to hear more about what you’re planning and what matters most to you.

Whether your wedding is close to home or across the ocean, every story begins with a conversation. Share a bit about yourselves, your day, and what you’re dreaming up. I’ll take it from there.
